Cubes, swords, and a fancy tile system.
The general idea here is still in it’s infancy- but I’ve teamed up with an artist who loves genre and is doing a wonderful job getting together the artwork needed for this project. It’s always very refreshing to have the artwork when it’s asked for.
Inspiration is drawn from more retro styled games, while we plan to have some pretty fancy artwork and lighting. Character animations are rigged meshes, so the voxel look is more stylization than true voxel engine implementation. Here’s a basic walk cycle:
I’ll be sure to post more as things progress. There’s a lot of images just sitting on my desktop from development – but they’re not what I’d call “post ready”.
